Arts Block

The Quarter of Arts or Bombarda, at the city centre, is the area of Oporto where there is a higher concentration of art galleries. They are at Rua Miguel Bombarda and several adjacent arteries and their owners gather to inaugurate new exhibits every two months. The "Simultaneous Inaugurations" arrived to the galleries that are next to the Crystal Palace and the exhibition spaces downtown, they take place on Saturdays and include parallel animation. The galleries have free entrance and the area has other interesting features: tea houses, alternative clothing and record stores, biological grocery stores, bars co-workingspaces, workshops of new fashion designers and various hostels.
